Numbers matter

One way we always keep ourselves in check as the leadership team of Core is to remind ourselves that numbers don’t matter. We’re tempted to judge the success of our events, especially our weekly meetings, by how many people attend. But we remind ourselves that the important thing is not that there’s a lot of people, but that the gospel is being proclaimed.

Its main point: numbers are people, and people need Jesus. Get more people in the room at your event or meeting, and more people hear the gospel that you’re proclaiming.

So, to review: numbers are important for accomplishing that message of proclaiming the gospel, as long as you treat those numbers like the people they are.
